Constitutional Governance Architecture: Precedence Hierarchy, Amendment Channel, and Ontological Integrity Controls

ALAMBIC: six-layer constitutional precedence hierarchy for the governance framework.

Constitutional governance document

Governance Infrastructure · Constitutional — precedence, amendment, and drift prevention

ALAMBIC is the constitutional architecture document. It defines the governance framework’s basic legal and methodological categories — what counts as law, method, implementation, and laboratory — and then establishes the rules that govern how those categories relate to each other under pressure.

The six-layer precedence hierarchy prevents lower-layer artifacts from silently acquiring the authority of higher-layer instruments. The five-step amendment channel prevents drift, tone-smuggling, and ontology betrayal by requiring explicit passage through each layer before any constitutional change takes effect.
