This article develops a queer reading of neo-pagan magic that resists simple masculine and feminine opposition. Ritual practice is treated as one way non-binary identity positions can be sustained and made thinkable against heteronormative expectations.
It extends the earlier Wicca and authenticity work by moving more directly into a critique of the binary itself, rather than only tracking how people negotiate within it.
